Garry Muriwai was appointed Chairman of Māori Television in July 2007. Mr Muriwai is Chief Executive of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand (ICANZ) and Chairman of the Global Accounting Alliance. Formerly Head of the School of Business at AUT University, Mr Muriwai has held senior accounting and information technology roles in the corporate sector and has provided consultancy advice to a number of public and private sector organisations.
