Simon Molaudzi is Head of Education at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1989 and went on to study for an advertising certificate, media management diploma, marketing research and MBA.
He is currently studying towards his LLB degree.
Mr Molaudzi has worked as a teacher, marketing officer, advertising manager, head of sales and magazine circulation and senior manager procurement for companies and organisations including Telkom SA, Vodacom, Department of Education and Media 24 (Naspers Group).
He was previously a regional manager at SABC.
SABC is South Africa’s national public service broadcaster, providing a comprehensive range of distinctive programmes and services.
It must inform, educate, entertain, support and develop culture and education and as far as possible secure fair and equal treatment for the various groupings in the nation and the country, while offering world-class programming on television and radio.
SABC’s television network comprises four television channels – three of them free-to-air and the fourth pay-TV.
Combined, the free-to-air channels attract more than 17.5 million adult viewers daily, reaching 89 per cent of the total adult television-viewing population.
